Badminton is more than just a sport to Malaysians – it is part of the national identity. Ever since the Sidek brothers put Malaysia on the world map in the 80s and 90s, the spirit of badminton has flowed through the veins of Malaysians from one generation to the next. Today, names like Lee Zii Jia, Aaron Chia, Wooi Yik Soh, and Ng Tze Yong still make the whole country hold its breath every time they step onto the court.
And when that passion for supporting your team can translate into real winnings, it becomes even more exciting. That is where mtown88 is here — delivering the most complete, seamless, and rewarding badminton betting experience for Malaysian fans. Every smash from Lee Zii Jia, every net shot from Aaron Chia, every hard-fought match on the international stage — you can back them all and reap the rewards with mtown88.
Compared to football or hockey, badminton has several unique traits that make it particularly exciting from a betting perspective. First, matches tend to be shorter — averaging 45 minutes to an hour and a half for a best-of-three. That means you won't be waiting long to find out if your bet paid off.
Second, badminton is heavily momentum-driven, which means upsets happen far more often than in other sports. World-class players can fall to rising challengers on an off day. On the flip side, Malaysian athletes — often underestimated by global odds — are known to pull off stunning victories, and for those who back the higher odds at mtown88, that spells a serious payout opportunity.
Third, Malaysian badminton fans typically have an in-depth knowledge of our national players. You know Lee Zii Jia's aggressive, high-risk playing style, you understand the strength of the Aaron/Wooi Yik doubles pairing in high-pressure matches, and you can read the game better than fans of most other sports. That knowledge is an edge you can put to strategic use on the mtown88 betting platform.
mtown88 offers over 15 different betting types for every badminton match, giving you a wide range of options to suit your knowledge and strategy:
One of the most popular features among mtown88 members is Live In-Play Betting. You can watch the match live and make betting decisions based on exactly what is unfolding on court. If you see your favourite player starting to dominate in the second set, you can capitalise on that momentum with real-time bets.
Mtown88 covers virtually all major BWF (Badminton World Federation) tournaments throughout the year, so you'll never run out of matches to bet on. Among the tournaments that attract the most action from our Malaysian members are the Malaysia Open, All England Open, Indonesia Open, Denmark Open, China Open, French Open, Japan Open, Korea Open, Thailand Open, India Open, BWF World Tour Finals, Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, BWF World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
For matches involving Malaysian teams or players, mtown88 typically offers Malaysian special odds with more competitive odds than other platforms. We understand that Malaysian players have a genuine passion and deep knowledge of our national athletes, so we offer odds that better reflect what actually happens on court.
